It is with great pleasure and a
renewed sense of excitement that we welcome our families back to DunneTechnologyAcademy as we embark upon
the 2008-2009 school year. We are pleased to have you with us as we continue our
important job of working together to provide each of our students a quality
education.
This year, we enter our third year
together! We have made great strides with significant growth and positive
change. This is only the beginning! Our ultimate goal of Whole-School
Improvement is to increase student learning and achievement by focusing
intensely on improving instruction. Over the past two years, we have been
working very hard, engaging in continuous pursuits to “Raise the Standards of
Excellence”. We are making progress, and you should take pride in what we have
accomplished together.
Perhaps the accomplishment of which
we are most proud is our new Technology Program. It will mean an enhanced curriculum
with strategic technology integration and implementation. This may give us our
greatest challenge yet, but promises to deepen our students’ learning and
ensure their preparation for high-quality high schools with skills that
position them to compete globally and pursue career paths based upon today’s technological
exposure.
We sincerely thank you for your
support! We look forward to working with you this year as we are poised to set
the standard for what education ought to be. With our new Technology Program,
others in the city, across the country and around the world will be watching
very closely to see the innovative, entrepreneurial and developing ways we
educate our students. That’s a wonderful endorsement in education circles and we are grateful we can be in the lead.
